Carton Flow Rack System

Carton flow systems increase efficiency by separating two key functions, stocking and picking. Separating the two functions provides a safer environment and enables each process to operate smoothly without disruption due to space constraints and simultaneous picking and stocking action.

Talk To An Expert

The “flow” in a carton flow rack system is provided by rollers installed at a slight incline. When a carton or individual SKU is removed from the rack, the next in line moves into position at the front of the rack for easy picker access.

Stockers replace items on the higher side of the rack. These items then “flow” on the rollers toward the front of the rack where pickers can reach them. Carton flow systems can include brakes or tilt trays on the picker side to make it easier for pickers to access individual items within cartons.

Wheels for these carton flow systems may be made of a polycarbonate material or steel and can be of varying widths, up to full width, to handle either cartons of different sizes or cartons that are uniform and consistent in size.
